To all of our loyal fans. First of all, we truly appreciate all the kind messages, calls, & encouragement during these challenging times As we stated in our original communication, we had one employee test positive for Covid-19, & they are doing fine. We chose to shut down both locations, to be cautious & responsible, although not required per the CDC or MOCO Health Dept. We have been working with the MOCO Health Dept on next steps & we are following the recommendations & necessary requirements to get back up & running. If you have specific questions/concerns, this is the number to the MOCO disease control 240-777-1755, & available daily from 8am-6pm. Our plan is to get both locations opened, with limited hours & staff, from 3pm-9pm this week. OLNEY, will begin these hours this afternoon, & ROCKVILLE, will begin tomorrow. Full menu to start, but we may need to limit some items, to be as efficient as possible. Stay connected for any updates or changes for either location We appreciate our staff for being flexible, understanding, & pulling together as a TEAM. We cannot thank all of you enough for being dedicated to our business. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Earlier this week, the café temporarily closed both the Rockville and Olney stores after an employee tested positive. The closures were “out of an abundance of caution,” the Instagram post read, since some employees work in both locations.

Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services guidelines, it was not necessary to shut down both locations. The café was being extra cautious and responsible, the Instagram post read.

The CDC recommends businesses that had an employee test positive to clean and disinfect surfaces and use additional personal protective equipment while doing so. Employers may need to work with local health department officials to do contact tracing and determine who may need to take additional precautions, according to CDC website.

The café has been working with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services and following their recommendations and necessary requirements, according to the Instagram post.
