1. No School for Students:  Students do not report to school today because the public school teachers have a professional day.

2. Municipal Monday: Rockville’s Mayor and Council meets at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 111 Maryland Ave.  Here’s the agenda. Gaithersburg’s Mayor and Council hold a work session at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 31 S. Summit Ave. Here’s the agenda.

3. Book Tour: Councilmember Will Jawando continues his tour of Montgomery County libraries at the Germantown Library.

4. Germantown Mission BBQ Opens:  The second Mission BBQ in Montgomery County opens its doors at noon today. There will be a live playing of the national anthem sung by a veteran from Montgomery County.

5. Central American Migration to the U.S.: The League of Women Trending Topics lecture series continues tonight at the Rockville Library. Dennis Stinchcomb from the American University’s Center for Latin American and Latino Studies talks about what is driving migration from Central America. Free to the public, please RSVP here.
