1. Conversation over Coffee with Elected Officials:  Council Vice President Sidney Katz and Gaithersburg Mayor Jud Ashman greet community members at Einstein’s Bagels today from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Councilmember Andrew Friedson will be at Cedar and Clove Coffeehouse in Bethesda from 8 to 9:30 a.m. today.

2. Geocaching by Kayak:  Montgomery Parks offers an event for those who enjoy kayaking and geocaching that takes place Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Black Hill Nature Center in Boyds. Learn more and register, here.

3. Night at the Movies: Olney Theatre Center screens the film Chicago directed by Rob Marshall which won six Oscars including Best Picture. Learn more and reserve a seat for this free event, here.

4. Rockville City Police Open House: The Rockville Police welcomes the community to an open house featuring vehicle and equipment displays, a K-9 demonstration, a moon bounce, face painting, a DJ, pumpkin decorating, food, information booths, a visit by McGruff the Crime Dog, and the opportunity to meet city police offers. Saturday, September 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

5. Latino Women Convention: MyMCMedia’s Andrea Sarralde is the Master of Ceremonies for the Sixth Annual Latino Women Convention in Bethesda. This one-day event is designed to discuss and address the priority needs and wishes of Latinas in the U.S. The convention takes place Sunday, September 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Registration closes Friday at 5 p.m. Learn more and register here.
