Full List of 19 Metro Stations Now Closed

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Metro has implemented its services for essential travel only. WMATA officials announced on Thursday that 19 stations will be closed – up from 17 originally announced – to help protect the health and safety of Metro’s employees, and customers [see list below]. People are being urged to use adjacent stations as no shuttle buses will be provided. In Montgomery County, the Grosvenor-Strathmore Station is closed.

Blue Line Arlington Cemetery – use Rosslyn
Orange Line Cheverly – use Deanwood
Orange Line Silver Clarendon – use Court House
Red Line Cleveland Park – use Woodley Park or Van Ness
Green Line College Park – use Prince George’s Plaza
Orange Line Silver Line East Falls Church – use West Falls Church
Yellow Line Eisenhower Ave – use King St-Old Town
Orange Line Silver Line Blue Line Federal Center SW – use L’Enfant Plaza or Capitol South
Orange Line Silver Line Blue Line Federal Triangle – use Metro Center
Silver Line Greensboro – use Spring Hill or Tysons Corner

In addition to that, several station entrances will also be closed to conserve cleaning supplies and create additional workforce flexibility. Officials say these particular stations will remain open for customers to enter and exit from other available entrances.

Green Line Anacostia – Entrance serving parking garage at Howard Rd north of the Anacostia Freeway closed; bus bay side open
Red Line Dupont Circle – South Entrance 19th St & Connecticut Ave closed; Q Street (north) entrance open
Red Line Farragut North – SW corner of L St & Connecticut Ave closed; 2 other entrances open
Red Line Friendship Heights – Jennifer St entrance closed; Western Ave entrance open
Red Line Gallery Place-Chinatown – 9th St & G St entrance closed; 2 other entrances open
Orange Line Silver Line Blue LineYellow Line Green Line L’Enfant Plaza – 7th & D sts entrance closed; Maryland Ave & 9th & D sts entrances open
Red Line Orange Line Silver Line Blue Line Metro Center – 12th & F sts entrance closed; 3 other entrances open
