‘Kids Day Out’ Programming Provides Activities During Thanksgiving Week

Kids Day Out, a partnership between MCPS and Montgomery County Recreation, is providing two half-days and one full day of programming during the week of Thanksgiving when students are off from school, according to a press release.

Kids Day Out emphasizes health, physical fitness, imagination and fun through well-rounded, interactive activities, the press release said.

“One of our priorities is to ensure that all young people have equitable opportunities and access to safe, affordable recreation programs,” said Adriane Clutter, the Division Chief of Montgomery County Recreation.

The two half-day programs will take place from 1:30-6:30 p.m. on Nov. 22 and 23, while the full-day program will be held from 8:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Nov. 24. The half-day programs are $25 and the full-day program is $50. However, families from Title I schools can apply coupon code “MCPSkid” for a reduced price.

Several community centers are hosting Kids Day Out programming. They include:

  • Wheaton Community Recreation Center
