Monday is Day Four of Ballot Recount for Democratic County Executive Race

Monday is day four of a ballot recount to confirm the Democratic nominee for Montgomery County Executive.

According to the Montgomery County Board of Elections (BOE), the board finished recounting early voting results, in which David Blair gained one vote. 

The board finished recounting Election Day results through District 12, and both Blair and incumbent Marc Elrich gained one vote each. Recounting for District 13, mail-in and provisional ballots is underway.

Blair requested the recount after Elrich was certified as the Democratic nominee in the primary election by 35 votes.

The recount began Friday at the Germantown Community Recreation Center and will continue until it is complete. Residents can find the livestream here.
