Police: Man Wanted in Connection to July Murder

Police said a Montgomery Village man is wanted in connection to a July murder in the White Oak area.

Detectives ask for the public’s help locating the suspect.

According to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), Lawrence Marcellus Marshall, IV, age 20, is wanted for shooting and killing 40-year-old Cederic Allen Warner of Silver Spring.

According to MCPD, an arrest warrant was issued, charging Marshall with first-degree murder.

Police stated that Marshall is accused of shooting Warner on July 5 in the 11500 block of Lockwood Drive.

According to previous information from MCPD, officers and fire and rescue personnel responded to an apartment at the location at about 9:51 p.m. for a reported shooting. Police located Warner inside the apartment with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

MCPD asks anyone with information to give a tip by calling 1-866-411-8477 or by going to the Crime Solvers of Montgomery County website and clicking www.p3tips.com. Up to $10,000 is offered for information that leads to the suspect’s arrest. Tips can be anonymous.
