Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Auto Theft Suspect

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) continues to investigate an auto theft that took place on Dec. 16, 2021, in Potomac. Detectives released photos of the suspect on April 12 in hopes someone may recognize the person.

Police officers from the Wheaton station found an abandoned white Mazda CX9 on the morning of Dec. 17, 2021. The police investigation determined that the car was stolen from a residence in Potomac the previous night.

MCPS asks that anyone with related information to call the Bethesda police district Investigation Unit at 240-773-6710. Anonymous callers can reach Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers is offering up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
