Takoma Park Police Arrest Two for Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Assault

Takoma Park Police arrested two men on charges related to several incidents that occurred in September and October.

Abu Davis, 19, of Silver Spring, and Alusine Brown, 21, of New Carrolton, were charged with armed robbery, kidnapping, false imprisonment, first degree assault, use of of a firearm in the commission of a felony and theft.

Takoma Police believe the two men were involved in an armed robbery on Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. in the 7300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed robbery on Sept. 24 that occurred at 5 p.m. in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed carjacking on Oct. 8 at 9:25 a.m. in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue and an attempted armed robbery on Oct. 15 at 9:50 p.m. in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue.

During an investigation, police detectives identified Davis and Brown in relationship to the September 23 and 24 incidents. They also believed Davis was responsible for the carjacking on Oct. 8 and the attempted armed robbery on Oct. 15.

Davis was arrested Oct. 28, and Brown was arrested Nov. 3rd. Both Davis and Brown are currently being held without bond. Other charges may be pending, police said.
