2024 Primary Election 6th Congressional District
Voters will elect a new Representative to Maryland’s 6th Congressional District. The seat is currently held by Rep. David Trone (D-Potomac), who is making a run for the U.S. Senate. The 6th Congressional District includes Garrett, Allegany, Frederick, and Washington counties as well as the northwestern portion of Montgomery County.
U.S. Representatives are elected to two hear terms. The office does not have a term limit. Maryland has eight of the 435 congressional districts.
The 2024 Presidential primary election takes place May 14. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Early voting is available from May 2 to 9 at 14 early voting centers throughout Montgomery County. Montgomery Community Media invited all candidates in this race to record a video statement.
