5 Things to Know Today, Dec. 22, In Montgomery County

It’s Wednesday, Dec. 22 and here are five things to know in Montgomery County.

1. Hypothermia Alert: Montgomery County is under a Hypothermia Alert until 11 a.m. The alert is sent when temperature/wind chill is forecast to go below 32 degrees.

2. Weekly Briefing: County Executive Marc Elrich and health leaders will hold their media briefing at 12:30 p.m. Residents can watch live on MCM channels 21 and 995 (HD), County Cable Montgomery and on the county’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.

3. Drive-Thru Food Distribution: Stop by Watkins Mill Elementary School in Montgomery Village from 1-2:30 p.m. to receive boxed groceries in your car. See other free food resources here.

4. Senior Planet: Senior Planet Montgomery continues to offer free Zoom classes to senior residents. Today’s classes include “iPhone Health Apps” and “Spanish Club.”
