5 Things to Know Today, Feb. 25, In Montgomery County

Today is Thursday, Feb. 25 and here are five things to know in Montgomery County:

1.COVID-19 Vaccine Information: Montgomery County clinic appointments are currently for Groups 1A and Group 1B, Tier 1 (Adults ages 75 or older). All vaccinations are by appointment only. Health officials say the supply is very limited. Click here for more information and to preregister.

2. COVID-19 Vaccination Town Hall: Montgomery County Council is holding a virtual town hall meeting today at 7:00 p.m. focused on the COVID-19 vaccination program in the local community. A variety of local elected officials and health leaders will be giving helpful information. Community members must register ahead of time to participate in the virtual town hall through Zoom by clicking here. See the tweet below for additional details.

3. County COVID-19 Testing Clinics: Free COVID-19 testing is available throughout the county at eight testing sites today.

4. Community Food Access Survey: The Montgomery County Food Council has launched a short COVID-19 Community Food Access Survey to collect residents’ input to guide food distribution plans in 2021. View more details along with the survey here.

5. Ride-On Bus Schedules Adjusted: Montgomery County’s Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will adjust Ride-On bus service schedules starting Sunday, Feb. 28, to increase service in areas with growing passenger demand. Click here for more information.
