Detectives Investigating Homicide in Germantown Apartment

Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) detectives are investigating a homicide in Germantown, police said in a statement.

Russell Troy Huffman, 38, was pronounced deceased in an apartment on the 20000 block of Frederick Road on Monday, MCPD said. The department said he was a resident of the block. 911 received a call around 4:54 p.m. for a person not breathing in the apartment, according to the statement, and responding personnel found Huffman inside with upper body trauma. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will determine cause of death.

MCPD urges anyone with relevant information to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Those who want to remain anonymous can contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County online, via app, or by phone at 1-866-411-8477.
