Today is Friday, July 29. Here’s the 10 day forecast as we head into the weekend and 5 things to know today and this weekend.

1. Primary Election Update: The Board of Elections continues counting the mail in ballots from the July 19 Primary Election. Most races have been decided but the race for the Democratic candidate for County Executive is too close to call. Today the count continues at the Montgomery College Germantown campus. The canvass is streamed live and the public is welcome to attend.

2. Friday Night Concerts: The 5-piece band King Teddy performs at Rockville Town Square tonight from 6 to 8:30. Another concert takes place in Downtown Bethesda tonight at The Streetery. The rock band Sidleys perform at the corner of Norfolk and St. Elmo Avenues from 6 to 8 p.m.

3. Pediatric COVID Vaccination Clinics:  The public schools and the health department are vaccinating children ages 6 months to 5 years old this weekend. Appointments are required and may be made online.

4. Mega Millions Lottery Drawing: You have until 11 p.m. Friday to purchase a Mega Millions ticket and a chance to win over $1 billion. Tickets cost $2 each.

5. Public Health Internships: The Maryland Department of Health is looking for college students interested in Public Health to participate in an internship program in the fall. The deadline to submit an application is one week from today, Friday, August 5.
